From another site:
"One unfortunate missing element for Smart Cash is that it does not have the Price Protection feature that the Citi Enrich has, so you might want to get/have that card for purchases where this might be helpful. This is especially true since you're not likely to need Price Protection when buying gas/groceries, since they aren't eligible for it."

Quick question, if I were to switch my SPG card to the SC card, would I retain the same credit card number/expiry? Just thinking of pre-authorized transactions etc.

Both will probably change. You can continue to use the SPG one though until you activate the SC. (But will stop earning SPG points at the end of Feb and will not earn SC points until you start using the new card)

This is what I do! MBNA SC for groceries (and recurring bills because don't want to call again to make changes) and everything else on my Citi Platinum Enrich.

With the Smart Cash Card, are we able to get a second card (Spouse Card) on the the same bill/account???
The Indian Call centre rep that I spoke with to order the card was a complete IDIOT and couldn't answer the questions because it was obviously not on his script.
So far, just my experience in trying to apply for the card makes me very very nervous with MBNA!

I got another $50 cheque today.
The difference this time, is that the cheque I just got was not issued by Memberworks, rather in house by MBNA Canada Bank, drawn on a Royal Bank account.
The last one was issued by Memberworks and drawn on a Bank of America account.
Perhaps MBNA decided to take it in house due to problems with Memberworks?

not sure if this has been answered (I couldn't find it), but are we still able to sign up for this given that it is no longer available on the website?

I hope hope so. Let's hope we get our cheques faster now. Question: When was your last cheque redeemed?
I had a cheque redeemed on Dec 3 and it still has not arrived.
