Hey angel, u seem knowledgeable. I got a question.
The guy I talked to said the SC is a Platinum card and it will cover collision on rented cars (or something similar). So does that mean I dun have to buy insurance if I ever rent a car?
read my thread about this very issue.

Okay, so i called yesterday about it, lady put me on hold and found the code and processed the info no problem
I called today and they said the deal has been cancelled since December, then I talked to a manager and he gave me a new code for the same card.

There is no mention of cash back. Seem to be regular Platinum Card with no cashback.

Thanks MBNA for this card, best one out there in my opinion in terms of my reward and please keep it with no annual fee. Some hiccups initially and I don't still understand the adjustments going on my statement as I don't have time to follow up, lol, but receiving cheques.

If you look at the page title (on the very very top of the page), it states SC plat mastercard.

What are the minimum conditions to be accepted for this card?

Maybe it's just me, but I get the feeling that MBNA is going to come out with a great new card, much more competive than what is on the market, every year or two and then subsequently dump it after. When all the new card holders who signed up for SC or SPG have their cards expire, they will automatically be shifted to either the new flavour of the month or to the standard 1% platinum card. Does anybody else think this might be the case?

mbna spg is gone because spg went with amex. Has nothing to do with mbna.

That is AWESOME. Just applied now, everything went smoothly, "answer by mail within 30 days". Thanks so much for posting this and allowing us to avoid the "Russian Roulette application process" by phone!

Newbie
Just applied online with CHSS priority code also and everything went smoothly. Also got "will reply in 30 days by regular mail". Hopefully, it doesn't take that long! I can't wait.
Thanks for the online link.

Somehow I sincerely doubt this.
