I realize I will get ripped a new one for asking this but if anyone has some helpful info it would be hugely appreciated ! I am wondering about any extra features this card may have, eg. if you buy electronics on it do you get an extended warranty? If so what are the terms, do you just contact MBNA if you need to use this warranty? Also if there are any other benefits like travel insurance etc... is there anywhere that outlines all this? I checked the Premier Rewards card on the website but couldn't find anywhere mentioning these benefits, so maybe the card just doesn't offer it. Also checked out quite a few pages in this thread but must admit not all 70+.
Thanks for any info!
EDIT: upon further digging through the mbna site, I assume this card has the features outlined in the "Platinum Card" column: http://www.mbna.com/canada/credit_comparecards.html
Wish they provided more details on the benefits rather than just the short description. Has anyone used an extended warranty on one of these cards for returning something? I'm curious how that feature would work. (Extended Warranty Benefits). Also curious on the Auto Rental Insurance, so when I rent when I have this card theres no reason for me to pay more for insurance from the rental place, since I'm covered by MBNA ? Or is their coverage not as good.Last edited by nufan; Apr 28th, 2009 at 11:32 AM.

For those who didn't get your card yet, call this number 1-877-228-6262
I applied about 2 weeks ago and heard nothing back.
Called that number just now, put me on hold for 1 minute, says he just processed my application and my card should be coming in 7-10 business days.

9hrs waiting in the ER = troll mode currently on
FS: Christmas Window Decorations
We all know BB and FS are the same thing, therefore, BB + FS = B/S
A wise fortune cookie once told me this: "A bargain is something you don't need at a price you can't resist"
FS: 10mm H&R Trak+ wheel spacers, 5x100/112, 57.1c/b 149mm O/D, fits up to 12mm hub height, 4.0mmx45 chamfer

Just found out the card will be going out in the mail tomorrow as my account was approved. Looking forward to using just ONE card, and this one beats my PC Mastercard for the bonuses, and I won't need my RBC Platinum Visa anymore for the car rental insurance.
Thanks

Got my smart cash card
total time from when I called to when it arrived = 6 business days. However I don't see any platinum plus disclosure/legal agreement with my package, there is just a pamphlet with some brief description of the platinum plus benefits but no details

This is a short story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody. There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it. Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it. Somebody got angry about this, because it was Everybody's job. Everybody thought Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it. It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.
Which Person are YOU!!!
