Sorry it's not RBC Gold.
It's just the regular RBC Rewards VISA (http://www.creditcardsearch.ca/rbc-rewards-visa-classic), I don't think it's offered anymore.

The RBC one is primary unless you accept the rental company's CDW, whereas the MBNA one is secondary and applies after any other insurance (meaning if you have liability for non-owned vehicles on your personal policy, MBNA could theoretically require you to file a claim with your personal insurance first)
The RBC one is valid for I believe a rental of up to 48 days, whereas the MBNA one is only valid for a rental of up to 31 days.
MBNA's rental coverage has a maximum lifetime payout of $65,000, whereas the RBC card has no lifetime payout limit.
RBC specifically mentions it covers free rentals as a result of frequent rental programs, provided the rentals which earned those points were paid for with your RBC card. I'm unsure if this applies to MBNA or not.
Small but important distinctions, and of course they vary from card issuer to card issuer and even from card to card. Best to read the certificate of insurance on your cards to see the exact terms that apply.

Thing is I use paypass every chance I get...I would be at RCSS at least every weekend if not more.
Funny story actually. Original card got compromised so they fedex'd me a new card. This one shows "01" in the space between the card# and my name.
A week or so later I got another letter that looks exactly like the regular card package except this card says "02". No other communication received in regards to this second card. Only reason I've kept with the 01 card is that the 3digit # on the back is...'fun'

This is a short story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody. There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it. Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it. Somebody got angry about this, because it was Everybody's job. Everybody thought Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it. It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.
Which Person are YOU!!!

My card was compromised over the weekend... I used it at a gas station at Kennedy and Finch and on the same day a transaction booking a flight to Egypt was charged on my card for over $1000.
I really hope MBNA pulls through and gets it reversed.
