Almost the same:
Statement: 24th
Cheque Issued: 27th
Cheque Received: 6th
My statement date was 10 days earlier but the date of the cheque and the date received were the same. They must have a day (27th this past month) when they print all the cheques that are needed
Statement: 14th
Cheque Issued: 27th
Cheque Received: 6th

I don't mind the 3% dropping to 2%, sure it's a percent but something I coud live with. What I can't stand is having a cap at $1250/month for redemption of the 1%. What sense does that make? Instead of paying for bills with one card, you're forced to use an alternative because you'd get nothing in return pass the $1250 limit.

My question is.....am I already getting a $50 cheque soon with the 4924 pts + 2456 pts? or that 2456 pts is counted inside of the 4924.

I just want to stop collect pts in this card after I have enough for my next $50 cheque.

Thanks in advance.

I think your "Total Available Points" is what you currently have at that moment from all posted transactions. The earned points is as of your last statement. So you have 4924 points in total and will need another 76 points before getting enough for a $50 cheque.

I went through the same question a month ago as I tried to figure out where I was at since I plan on not using this card anymore once I get enough for a last payout.

total points includes Earned and previous balance but not pending points. So with 276 points pending you will have enough when the points become earned.

So now I have
4923 + 2456 already in pocket and the 276 will add to that 2456 category in few days...

Basically I have another 2500-2600 pts already even after the $50 cheque.

Are points earned on transaction date or posting date?

Haven't followed this for a while, so is the Capital One World Cash still be best replacement for this one? I've got quite GCs for Gas from SDM, so won't spend much on gas. But need to pay around 3K in Jan, I didn't upgrade to World version, so I'm not using it over 1200.
Or just use my Amex gold reward?
Any thoughts?

Edit: I recently applied Sears CC(black Friday), will I be qualified for the World Cash(meet all other requirement and I'm sure I have more credit limit as I lowered my MBNA limit)?

How cancelling credit card affects the credit score? Isn't it better just to destroy card and don't use it? I have used it for several years but I other cards with much longer and bigger usage history.

Can we really just cut it up? Or do we have to use it like once a year, to avoid inactive fee (if any), for MBNA?
I know some of the big 5 banks do charge inactive cc account fees.
