I don't know if McDonald's is the same but two $1 smalls (2 x 10oz) at Tim Horton's saves you money over buying a single large (1 x 20oz).

One thing you need to be aware of is that McDonald's small fruit smoothies contain 49g of sugar (that's 14g more than a small McDonald's soft drink). The large smoothies contain 81g.

The American Heart Association's maximum recommended daily intake of sugar is 36g for men and 20g for women, so be careful with this stuff. Just because it has "fruit" in the name doesn't mean we should drink a lot of it.

Just note this is a SNACK size, meaning, it's really tiny!

Just have a snack size as a treat maybe once during the promotion. No need to indulge on this everyday to make all the health warriors come out.

"The smoothie was so bad I returned it. (Mango Pinapple)" as quoted above, really? Don't think anyone would waste their time doing so.

At least I'm not the only one that finds these hideous.
I rarely throw out food/drink, but I made an exception for these smoothies.

I actually got this deal today at a McDonalds in Mississauga. Had no idea it was a promo and thought it was how much it usually costs. If this warm weather keeps up I'm gonna have to swap my coffee&muffin deal for more smoothies! Btw, is that strawberry mango orange flavour new? First time seeing it.

I don't like any of them (haven't tried the new one though). I really liked the peach one they had last year. Hoping they'll bring it back.

I like them but snack size is so small they're not even worth a dollar.

The snack size is half the size of small (for $1.99). Be smart! Don't fall the the marketing gonzo.

the sugar is not much different than timmies ice caps.
ice cap 10oz 33 g sugar
smoothie 12oz 50 g sugar.

The smoothie has almost no fat whereas the icecap has a ton of fat also.

Neither is good for you nutrionally but I find McDs gets trashed and Tim Hortons gets a pass all the time.

This is not true. Nobody want's Tim Horton's dollar drinks. Most people rather go with McDonalds.
