Just picked up the peppermint mocha at Yonge/Steeles McD ( Hilda and Steeles to be exact). Cost me $1.05. I loved it!

It really depends on the McDonald's you go to.
If it is owner operated they can adjust the promotions dictated by head office.
If you wish you can file a complaint by mailing in a self addressed letter to McDonald's head office here
Customer Service/complaints
2 McDonalds Place
Toronto Ontario
M3C-3L4
They will send you free coupons for food/drinks but again some restaurants will deny these coupons._______________

Had a $1 mocha at Airdrie McD. Was a little rich, but not terrible.

May be YMMV, but McD's on Appleby in Burlington charged me $0.69 for a small americano. Basically they took $1 off. great deal IMHO

i tried the mocha for a $1, and thought it tasted much better than the mocha that tim's had.
one interesting thing i noticed is that some McD's has the $1 sign, with the small print saying that the deluxe hot chocolate is excluded from the $1 promo. i wonder why, as the hot chocolate is already one of the cheapest items on the McCafe menu

plain coffee is still drinkable, any specialty ones just won't do it, now you can buy their coffee beans and brew at home
hate how they try to up sell when anyone orders large regular coffee, they always ask if you want to add an espresso shot for 60c...regular coffee + espresso shot?

An outlet at Edmonton South Common refused to sell the Americano for a $ 1.00 as they claimed that it is not aspeciality coffee. Had to call their head office and get it fixed. The outlet had to offer me a free meal!!!

The regular coffees are good, but the McCafe beverages are garbage.
