McDonalds Coffee - Has it changed?
Being a good RFDer, I went for the free coffee.
I find that it tastes more watery, a la Tim Hortons.
I remember it being much better before. Do others find this also? Has it changed?

I think it's not too far from where Timmies is. Not as rich / strong in flavor as the more specialty places like Second Cup and Sbucks, but not awful by any stretch.

interesting you mentioned this. I just had a free coffee on Friday (didn't even know it was free, I ordered the coffee/muffin special and it only came out to $1+ for the muffin).
The coffee was closer to Timmies but I figured it might be because of the sheer volume of people wanting free coffee that it was different.
Plus I don't like their new cups. For some reason I find it harder to drink with that higher spout. The old cup was good.

As someone who has McDonalds Coffee far more frequently than Tim Horton's...it is stronger than Tim Horton's, though not a dark roast by any means. Tim hortons is a very light roast and probably the blandest coffee out there.
Over the past 2 years, McDonalds Coffee has improved dramatically..

I hope they didn't change it. McDonald's coffee is actually not too bad (after they changed it a few years back)

I've been drinking the new stuff since they changed.
I have noticed that it tastes slightly less flavourful during the promo but I thought it was just me. I think one possibility is that they are making more of it so it is sitting longer to answer the volume and it's losing some of it's punch. Happens with any coffee.

I usually spend around 3-4 hours in the morning to finish my coffee. With Tim's, the coffee change to a sour taste after 1/2 an hour or so but McDo's lasts me for the entire time.

McDonald's coffee is has always been good, VERY good. It's sad that they actually take on Tim Hortons by lowering their bar. If you ask me, let those who buy "double double" stay away, they don't even know what coffee is all about.

McCoffee
I think it has changed some. Not quite as good, but still far better than Timmie's which I find just unpalatable.

Have to admit I've been drinking the free coffee this week at McDonalds and quite enjoy it. Doesn't seem to have the caffeine blast of Timmie's but has a better taste. Going for another this am.

(If they were aiming for a "burnt water" taste, they've suceeded beyond their wildest dreams.)

I'm thinking the reverse. Perhaps they're brewing too quickly and that is affecting taste?

my sentiments exactly.
Hopefully after the promo, it'll return back to how it should taste.
