McDonalds don't bother using the meal deal coupon

Recently got the mailer coupons (can use multiple times if have the app) and noticed they have a $5.49 meal deal and $4.00 for a sandwich and medium fries. Since it's summer drink days you can get any Size drink for a dollar. Cheaper to buy thedrink separately and get a larger size drink for cheaper using the $4 coupon than using the $5.49 meal deal.

The $1 for big mac skews things for the rest of the week.

Plus also, in Ontario, if you buy the $4 and the $1 deals separately you will pay less tax for staying $4 or less in your order.
If you order the iced tea (instead of pop) it's only $1.05 instead of $1.13 (rounded up to $1.15 with no penny rounding)

I think that's only for people using the app for the first time.

Did you register a new account with an email address that you have not used before?

Lol so cheap. Wasting everyone's time in line to save some pennies.
