Wow are some McDonald's asking you to purchase a happy meal or food item to get the toy? Can't you buy the toy for $2 alone at all McDonalds?

yup...i think the policy is different store to store and employee to employee or something...not sure why.
I guess some locations were getting complains that they were running out of the toys and children that order happy meals were getting spongebob toys instead.
When ppl are buying multiple purchases...i can understand.

As a parent I understand why - nothing can be as irritating as hearing your kid whine for a toy that he wanted. I have no problem buying food items to get the toy if it ensures there's enough toys for the happy meals. Also, people shouldnt hoard these toys.

For those looking for #5 they had it at the wm in aurora this weekend.
No food purchase required. It's $1.89 for just the toy at this location.
I find it odd that the price for just the toy can be different at each mcdonlds locations.
