It's more of a Starbucks-style cafe:
From an article..
"McCafe will serve "high-end cakes and pastries, gourmet coffee ... premium teas ... Viva Tiramisu [and] New York Style Cheesecake. ... Food and beverages will be served in fine china along with stainless steel flat ware. The warm decor consists of leather couches, chairs and bistro style tables with accents of mahogany, granite, lace curtains and French vintage posters."

Anyone know whats going on with the new McDonalds at McCowan and Finch? It says McCafe on it.. is it a McDonalds or a McCafe, or a combo? When's it going to open?

That's just weird. Having it at that location you'll just get nothing but troubles. Especially with such a high highschool population minutes away.

They are already all over London, UK.. Starbucks has a better enviroment, but i found the drinks are roughly half the price, and actually taste just as good if not better.

this place will be great for serving Cafe La Bullets. Nice area, whomever had the idea of opening it at this location should be shot.

They had a McCafe opened up here in the West at the Head Office in Burnaby. Cheaper "Starbucks" style coffee's, not bad.
Will be good for those parents that want to bring their kids to McD's, but still want a nice coffee and biscotti or other.

Mar 26th, 2004 01:03 AM #11Does it mean it can earn more money? High School kids probably will stay in the McDonald which is connected to the mall anyway. That McCafe is in its own building seperated from the mall.Originally posted by Kinki@Mar 22 2004, 11:50 PM

The mall location has closed. It is all outside now.....
I was a student at ACCI (now uni). You'll be surprised of all the trouble and fights caused by students, so now that they are separate the troubles will just follow.
I won't be surprised if it turns into the next local gang hangout at night. I remember staying a bit late and I was waiting for a friend to pick me up near McD and was approached by a man offering me crack :P_______________
