Medical insurance for separated or divorced couples

Hi all,

Can an Ex still provide medical insurance coverage to his or her separated or divorced Ex?
Is this legal? Does this insurance company accept this? Also, does the government allow this?

Talk to your benefits coordinator, as "spousal" status would no longer apply.

I guess it depends on the company, some will accept separated but not divorced. Read the terms of your coverage

But I think (need verification) that if your kid(s) live(s) with your ex, your kid(s) should still be eligible to get the insurance, since no matter your status, this IS/are your kid(s)
