medical issuance to Cuba,any suggestions?
trip to Cuba next week. Don't think I'll get sick in there. Don't want buy this issuance. Do they really check it at the gate? Thanks

You mean travel insurance?! You should definitely get that no matter where you are going, if you're leaving Canada. I make sure to have insurance even to cross the border.. I have never been checked in Cuba, but I wouldn't risk being turned away.. you can also check whatever credit card you paid for your trip with to see if that provides coverage.

Proof of OHIP will suffice to get into Cuba. Google it...
That being said, it will cover very little. What OHIP covers overseas is buried somewhere in this topic or Google it...
Kanetix resells 8 day medical coverage to Cuba for $15 (Travel Underwriters) 2mil, $0 deduct.

This blows my mind. I don't even go cross border shopping for a few hours without insurance. Why would you ever chance it

Theres TRAVEL insurance and theres MEDICAL insurance i believe, + theres a combination of the two.
you do need medical insurance, i read somewhere your fine if you don't look cuban (no joke) but i mean, i believe its $19.00 for basic medical insurance from your travel agency. 19 bones man don't chance it.
