THANKS, OP.
However, the WD 3TB you posted is not 3TB. It's a Velociraptor 300GB HDD.

Fail thread. These are standard prices... they aren't really on sale.
At least move this to the ongoing deals section.

The "3TB" WD one you posted is actually a 300GB one, and it's that price because it's a Velociraptor

I figured since nobody else posted anything similar and its good to see every deal going on, I would still consider the 3tb @ 150 hot. and the fact that the internals are 30-50$ off depending the size / speed you need... I didnt just randomly throw every drive up. Either way, I respect your opinion if the Mods feel this thread is a waste, please delete or move it. I will just know to further not share any ideas or threads to this community. Was just trying to help. How else are we going to force back down drive prices without awareness with threads like this with people posting up deals as they find them.. IMO._______________

As someone who needs a new hard drive soon (mine is about to die) I appreciate this thread. Sometimes you don't have time to wait for a sale, if someone wants to take the time to let me know where I can get a drive for the lowest current price then it's very helpful. Does anyone have any opinions on Seagate vs. WD as far as reliability is concerned?

The thought is appreciated OP despite the fact some of the hard drives may have risen in prices recently. If we want to use that mentally, no hard drives should be posted until we get back to 2TB for $69.99.
The real issue is the fact that threads like this are typically updated for a couple weeks or even a few months and then simply disappear. If we had people that consistently focused on specific parts as you intend, we would only need one thread for the entire computer section as in theory, these people would post the best current deals and we could just edit the first post over and over.
It's completely understandable why these threads disappear as well, as without being paid to do this, there are many possibilities that something else could be occupying your time when an amazing deal is posted. So as I said, I appreciate this thread OP, but I do also understand some people's reactions to this thread.
Can't we just say thanks if it helped us otherwise we could try remember what our parents taught us? "If you don't have anything nice to say, it's best not to say it at all." Coming back to this after posting would only discourage me from posting again.
