Will anyone be interested in swapping any other gift cards for Petro Canada. I am looking for as many as I am able to get. I live in Toronto. Please PM me if interested. Thanks!

Wow. Just read the whole thing.
A few suggestions to felix to make understanding the whole thing easier:
1. could you alphabetically sort the store names in the first post of all the programs please? It would make comparing them easier
2. when you post an allposters coupon code, could you also post the RFD affiliate link? Maybe also post that link on the first page.
3. some more info about interchangeable GCs not on first page that could be added are Red Lobster = Olive Garden and Casey's = East Side Mario's = Fionn MacCool's
Has anybody found a way to use these GCs at staples.ca, canadiantire.ca, futureshop.ca, or bestbuycanada.ca? Would combining them in the store into a larger Gift Card make a difference? Any other tricks to get them to work online?

Said and done.
Hi,
I noticed as I was reading the long (very long) post started by user: Felix on Gift Cards that he ran into a character size limitation on his first post where he tries to describe all the benefits of the programs.
I guess the system restricts him to so many characters.
I was wondering if you and the 1'st person replying to his post (who I will PM as well) would consider deleting your first reply posts in that thread.
If you both did this then Felix's subsequent post (currently #4 in the set of posts) would then be #2 and so he could continue his description of the programs right into his second post.
Just a suggestion,
Thanks, Roger

treasureseeker: Thanks for your suggestions!
#1 .. Would sorting store names alphabetically help? Because I basically listed them according to popularity (more or less) and new programs I put either near the top or bottom so people can see it's been newly added. Would it be too confusing to list it alphabetically?
#2 .. I'll try to include the allposters affiliate link when I post a coupon. The thing is, I wasn't sure whether to put it on first post or just post to the thread and bump it at the same time. Because it's kind of a hassle to do both. I also thought of copying the entire post of the original poster's allposters sign up instructions (of course giving credit where credit is due!) and then linking to that one instead so I could update that one post with the coupon code. Do you think people who are reading the thread for the first time will remember the coupon code if it's kept on first post?
#3 .. Re: Red Lobster = Olive Garden and Casey's = East Side Mario's = Fionn MacCool's. Okay will do! As long as I can find space to fit it!
Re: using GC's online. I am only aware of chapters.ca being able to use online at the moment. Not FS/BB/Staples/HomeDepot. It would be super hot if we can combine these with those Staples online coupon codes! HAHA!! I wonder if Sony ones can be used online too, as I've never bought those before.
CSR: Thanks for deleting your post .. but I still don't have the FAQ ready yet!
Actually, I was thinking maybe the mods could have added an additional post for us if we requested. Do you think it's possible since if they can delete a post they should be able to add one right?

edited first post to make the instructions a little more clear. Can't believe it's been up there for so long without making much sense and no one really commented on it even after 117,673 views.
AS OF EARLY NOV. 2004, THEY NO LONGER ALLOW SIGNUPS THROUGH THE PHONE REPS. ONLY WAY TO GET A NEW MEMBERSHIP IS TO CALL THESE AFFILIATED BANKS DIRECTLY IF YOU HAVE A BANK ACCOUNT OR CREDIT CARD WITH THEM OR SIGN UP THROUGH ONE OF THESE WEBSITES BELOW AFTER MAKING A PURCHASE :

Felix,
Thanks to CSR and fitbrit, who graciously agreed to delete their posts from last year, you now have the first 2 post positions in this thread to put up additional information.
Let me know by pm if you want any help preparing the faq.

Felix:
They are suggestions that I think would help. I'm very willing to leave whether to implement or not to your judgement.
Listing alphabetically would make it easier to find which memberships include a specific store (something I found time consuming when doing my initial reading)
Perhaps the link on the first page to allposters could just be replaced with the affiliate url and a link to the post of the full signup details within the thread could be on the first page. (I think that most people would be happy to use the first page as the summary of the content of the thread)
Other tips missing from the first page that I found in the thread are:
1. sears travel and sears GCS are interchangeable. they can also be used to pay off a Sears card (against official store policy but they do it) .. one of the few stores to allow this use of GCs (not sure if it also works with Sears Mastercard .. could someone find out please)
2. many stores limit the number of GCs that can be used in a purchase (typically a computer system limitation). The way around this is to "combine" GCs by buying a larger value store Gift Card
3. Staples GCs can be used at their print counter for postage (don't forget to get a free Canada Post Venture card for an extra 5% off parcel postage too)
4. Zellers GCs can be used at their pharmacy for prescription drugs
These tips aren't new to experienced users, but might be overlooked by newbies.
Let me know if you want access to a wiki so that a few people could work on creating the FAQ together (and then copy the finished product back to the first posts of this thread). In fact, you could keep a working copy on the wiki so that a few authorized people have write access to it whenever needed.

I just signed up with MBNA. Felix thanks, but I think you are wrong about ordering right away after signing up because it does not go into the computer at AT HOME until 7 business days (according to agent at ATHOME). Anyhow, it has been 8 business days and I still have not got my package or have been entered into the lifestyle computer.

I hope I did not wreck my chances at 'At Home' memberships by signing up for Lifestyles...
However when I signed up through allposters for Lifestyles I was able to order gift cards immediately.
