Anyone call AH+ today? I try to order some GC. Got a recording saying "The customer you are calling is unavailable at the moment, pls try again later..." WTH is there a cell phone recording? I call the 1-866 number at the front of the membership card.

ok.. when u order via vistaprint, on the sign up sheet, there's two buttons on the bottom, one is LS+ and one is AH+, u can sign up both on that screen, if u passed that.. THINK only one can be signed up.
BOTH LS+ and AH+ does have BB and FS, even via vistaprint, it's just OOS now.
and for myself, both programs are 12.95.
i've never seen HMV anymore on the + program, but pier 1, brick should be all there.

recieved expired gc?
I've read a couple times that people received cards with 0 balance on it. I took my card to CT, and they told me it had expired. I've had it for 6 months now (originally purchased from AtHome). I'm not a member with AtHome, so i dont even know what to do - call AtHome? call CT? The other $475 in cards were great - it was just this one card. Any experiences? TIA.

Confirmed:
HD cards are NO LONGER AVAILABLE for those who signed up for LS+ through membershipme (the last online link which was available). This was confirmed with 2 reps. Both have stated it was due to my signup method. Will have to signup through MBNA.
Can anyone confirm that I am able to signup with both AH+ and LS+ through MBNA? Secondly, if I were to have a secondary card holder would they ALSO be able to signup? Hoping someone might have tried this. TIA!

Thanks for confirming Mr. Noodlehead!
that is bad news about HD - sure enough I had signed up through the online member link. So I guess no more HD for me.
I have initiated the process for MBNA so I am with you and hope that I can get AH and LS accounts that way.
PS. Someone asked if you can pay your account with HD cards....no, I don't think so, I haven't paid for my counter yet. Just the $50 to have them come and measure, but I want enough to pay for it when the time comes!

I don't get why it matters how you signed up. Why do they have different restrictions on what you can order?

Indeed...but I would presume it has more to do with halting 'abuse' on behalf of memberworks as opposed to anything else...let's face it...memberworks makes money because some people do not use it as much as possible, so they end up with a net profit...too many people using it like us @ RFD, then the system breaks down. Yes, the banks prop up their bottom line, and they likely get a relatively cut rate deal on the GCs, but I am sure they make their money mainly on those who do not use the membership/don't know they have one (take a look at the complaints of those on the net if you find this hard to believe)
So, if a bunch of us start signing up through Vistaprint and use our privileges to the max, some of those privileges get taken away until memberworks makes a net profit on those memberships. Someone feel free to correct this if I am mistaken, but I have always assumed this was their business model, much like companies who specialize in MIRs...most people don't send them in or are declined, so they make a net profit.
