memory card for psp
got my daughter a psp for her birthday and it didn't come with a memory card. Looking for a couple of pieces of info:
how big of a card do I need? 2 GB or 4GB? I don't know much about them ... is there no internal storage? if you want to store music and video, is the only place to store the files on the memory card?
second question.... where's the best place to buy one? I have seen good and bad things about dealxtreme on this website but feedback would be appreciated...
thanks in advance

No, there's no internal storage on the psp so everything will be stored on the memory card. As for the card, it depends what you want to put on it. If you plan on modifying your psp and play games or use homebrew, then you might be better off with a larger memory card. The price for a 8gb are slowly going down so you might consider it.

I've bought the 2gb version from dealextreme about 7 months ago. It's not bad as long as you take care of it. I'm not too sure about the 8gb ones that just came out though.
Some places that I found for 8gb:
- sandisk at bestbuy for 80$
- sandisk at sigelectronics for 70$
There's also one from costco...but it's in store and it was posted by someone but I can't remember when that was. They saw I think a lexar 8gb for like 55 or 60$. Not too sure, I might have remembered the wrong thing.
Hope this helps.
