Had one of these for a little while but returned it. Note that the 25" is measured diagonally, so it will be a bit shorter than the conventional 16:9 monitors. I found that to be too distracting for me and looked weird, but it might just be because I'm too used to the 16:9 aspect ratio. Build and screen quality were ok, but the glossy finish gets dirty quick and shows dust and fingerprints really easily.

I might spring for the Alienware ultra wide.

I have one of these that I paid $249 for about 6 months ago or so now. Good picture quality for a 1080p monitor and love gaming in ultrawide for the games that support it. Haven't had really any problems with it and you can overclock it to 74Hz pretty easily.

Yeah I can't tell whether I should splurge and get that Alienware monitor

Good price for those who want to experiment with ultra wide screen without much risk. From what I read these resolutions are a hit or miss for many games in terms of compatibility. A slight boost in side-by-side productivity as well. I'm hesitating only because it'll look silly next to my 24 inch 16x10 that's almost 3 inches higher.

I bought the last revision a few years ago around $220 and it’s a great monitor. Same resolution as 29” ultrawides, but smaller package for higher pixel density. Not egregiously huge, and fits two windows side by side just fine. Well worth the price.
