I am pretty sure all of these sights sell fakes/knock offs.
i wish there was a version of this light that had multiple modes too. I have been looking but don't think i have found a light that has adjustable focus, multiple mode, single AA battery for a good price.
I did find drivers u can change out, but that requires soldering.

I doubt that people would make an knock-off of an knock-off, but even if they do as long as the counterfeits uses the correct bins of stated Cree emitters, a driver capable of regulating proper voltage to drive said emitter, and a decent reflector you wouldn't be able to tell an difference between them or even an actual brand version beam-shots. However there are some exception to this for each emitter have different attributes most noticeably tints and output as they haven't properly been able to create a sterile environment/perfect replication technique for cree emitter, thus there's sight difference in each emitter and different grades/bins for them(i.e. Q,P,R, etc.). That's enough rambling for now, but one last important note is a rough estimate to when there's a noticeable visual difference in beam output is approximately increments seventy lumens.

hey man, you can try this torch:
http://www.meritline.com/throw-zoomi...--p-74278.aspx
I bought 2 of these when they went down in price for I think about $8.99...or $7.99....
It does have 3 modes....high, normal and strobing....and if I remember correctly, it does zoom (kind of)....you twist the head and it narrows the throw of the torch...
However, it isn't as bright as the Sipik68 and the zoom isn't as powerful...
Good enough for around the house use and it uses a single AA....in terms of size, it is a little longer than the Sipik68 so not as compact...
And the Sipik68 feels sturdier...
Gluck!

I got my TomTop yesterday and I'm very happy with it. However, upon close inspection I see that the lens housing has a crack in the metal across the threads. From what I can tell with a magnifying glass this isn't intentional. One clue is that in a dark room I can see a small amount of light "leaking" out from the side of the housing. It also doesn't look like it will affect the life or performance of the flashlight as long as I don't abuse it physically.
Has anyone else encountered something like this in their flashlight?
Is this something I could RMA with TomTop (i.e. has anyone had RMA experience with them)? Other Chinese online sellers like DX and FP have sent replacements for defective items in the $5 range without asking me to return the original. Anyone know if TomTop does as well?_______________

Not sure, but macro DSLR that crack and send Sandra a good pic of it, I'm sure they will just send you out a replacement, maybe just an empty host? sales191@tomtop.com

it is not clear to me where the cracks are, possibly because you said you could see them in a dark room, not where the picture was taken

In a lit room you (well I) need a magnifying glass to see the crack. I first noticed the crack when trying out the flashlight in a dark room. The photos above were actually taken in a dark room as well, but the camera's flash makes it seem otherwise.
In any case, look at the lens housing, front centre, in the first photo. Look for a vertical line across the threads (that are cut inside the housing.) Then look at the second photo in the same place (but now upside down) and see the dot of light that's leaking out of the middle of the crack._______________

Ah. thnx for the heads up. It looks much cooler than the one I found at buyincoins. I just wish this version of the sipik one had multiple modes..
Yea I am pretty sure most of these lights are fakes/knockoffs/rebranded things. I looked through a bunch of lights on alibaba.com and many of them were the same, with just some other random name on them. Seems like some of them had different drivers to give it different modes. And then these same ones are on DX and buyincoins, etc. They have UltraFire, Trustfire branded ones. I'm no expert in flashlights, but seems to be some generic make or something.
Having said that, if these lights are as good as everybody makes them out to be...for under $10? fake or not....
