The skydiving in paradise looked beautiful but did little to change the race order, which is what I think a good task should be able to do. The needle in a haystack task was boring too. 3+ hours of building sand castles? Ugh.

Still, it's fun to have the show back and Bora Bora was gorgeous. The pink-shirted newlyweds are already on my Hate List though.

Not sure why but they seem to always do a needle in a haystack task in the first episode.

I always instantly dislike rich and/or famous people on the race. And anyone who's already been on a reality show. So Bates & Anthony (rich) and Caroline & Jennifer (reality show, semi-famous, and likely rich) go straight to the bottom of my list. On the fence on Joey & Meghan (Youtube famous).

As nice as they all may be, they don't need the money and/or are on the show for self-promotion.

Skydiving and bungee jumping roadblocks never change the race order, it's just not possible with these sort of 'tasks'.

Can someone explain what happened to the teams that got penalties in Leg 2? They said their 4 hour penalty got shortened to 1.5 hour... how is this possible? Did I miss something?

The twin doctors were pretty disappointing. They should have switched tasks to see what the other task was about. I like the father and son but I think there was no need to run at the end. It's not the final leg and you know you can't outrun the hockey players, so save your energy when it would really matter!

And New Zealand in today's episode!!! I wonder if the teams will meet Phil's father again?

Can someone explain what happened to the teams that got penalties in Leg 2? They said their 4 hour penalty got shortened to 1.5 hour... how is this possible? Did I miss something?

The actual penalty didn't get shortened, but the gap decreased since all the teams had to wait for the next task to open.
