You were able to watch Initial D until the 2nd episode? Congrats you have guts. I never liked cars, racing, and Porsche.

I know you are not an anime hater, and I also agree that after watching the Appleseed episodes or movie, this dosen't strike as something new. I don't go see movies for the graphics, so I'm passing on this one even though I am an anime fan (not one that pays for anime though lol).

Appleseed is out on Torrents...but no english subs..

Watched the opening scene of the movie (first 5 mins)...i was mesmorized...it's so good.

I'm going to watch this just because of the crazy animation. Story-wise, Appleseed has never realy appealed to me.

i love initial D since 1st stage... its just soo good (to me at least)... now i havent seen much of the 4th stage coz Live-Evil (subbers) are stuck at ep 6..

as for appleseed heres the gist of it..

The anime film based on the comic book Appleseed by Masamune Shiro, famed for creating Ghost In The Shell, is a huge hit in Japan. Set against the backdrop of a 22nd century world devastated by World War III, a new utopian world, Olympus, is founded by Biodroids, half human, half machine. Deunan, a fighter in the war, was rescued by citizens of this New World power, one of which is Briareos, her ex-lover. As she settles in this ideal and serene city, she began to notice underlying tension between the humans and Biodroids. Humans in Olympus begin to suspect that Biodroids' plans might threaten the human race. A war is about to be waged between the two sides, as humans hope to destroy the super computer Gaia, the "brain" of Olympus. What will happen in this epic battle?

I've watched all of Initial D except 4th stage, because no group seems dedicated to subbing it.

3rd Stage movie was my favourite. Great movie and much improved animation! There's a live-action HK Initial D movie which looks... awful.
