I have a question to those of you with the Prime. Does the youtube app working okay for you? Mine is keep crashing. I can start it and browse for movies etc., but when I click on my account to see the channels I am subscribing to the app just crashes.
I have done a factory reset already and it didn't help. Not sure if I should exchange my tablet because of this or this just a software bug with ICS.

what tablet apps are you guys putting on your primes?
i put ICS on my hp touchpad and i'm struggling to find good apps.. so it's interesting that a few comments have been made praising the raw performance of asus tablets compared to ipads but.. what good is that if you don't find good apps. facebook, espn, and thescore are just stretched versions of the mobile sites on ICS...

Yeah same here, if I select my account then it crashes right away, if I browse videos it is okay but as soon as I start playing them it crashes again. This morning it crashed and rebooted while I was on facebook. I am returning it to the store today. Still within the 2 weeks of return period.
Makes me sad because otherwise it is such an awesome looking tablet and it is fast and light, everything you'd want from a tablet.

And the wait and see approach applies to everything. There's always something bigger and better coming down the pipes. If we all took that approach, no one would buy anything

. I think I'll enjoy my TF201 for the next 3 - 4 months, and then buy the next latest and greatest instead of being "smart enough to wait and see", but thanks for the advice anyways

bwahaha...use a $500 tablet for 3-4 months and then buy the next one. You're a very discerning consumer.
I'm trying to make a point about products not being delivered to the consumer as advertised and consumers being willing to buy them just to have them. The wifi, gps, power cable, and light bleeding issues should not be happening with anything that costs this much money.

I sold my Motorola Xoom after 1.5 months of playing with it.
A nice gadget overall, I had ICS 4.0.3 installed, rooted and unlocked, it was fast too, but completely unusable as either reader or for watching videos:
Way too heavy compared to Kindle, a terrible GLARING screen - impossible to watch videos on the bus, and don't expect to just dl a 720p video and throw it at it like I do with either my PC or laptop: you have to re-encode it in Handbrake with a "special" profile so that Tegra 2 can play it.
All in all, when I realized I couldn't use it as either reader or video player, sold it happily.
May be a few years later the story will change, who knows?

So your definition of discerning is to keep waiting for the next best thing? Just keep waiting then.
Anyways
... I don't have any issues with my wifi, gps, power cable, or light bleeding, and I certainly have no issues with the price tag of my TFP.
And I am certainly no fanboy, and or uneducated.
Oh, and BTW, I actually own one instead of basing my opinion of others.

What's wrong with using something 3-4 months and getting somethign else? I usually sell my old tablet/phone in 3-4 months and upgrade, in the end I loose about $150-200 for the 3-4 months of usage which I think is fair.

I don't know why people have the need to come on to forums and bash products that they don't like or they don't think is good even though they don't own them. I personally have an iPad 2, Transformer Prime and Touchpad, I think they all have their strengths and weaknesses, personally haven't had any issues with my TFP, although I do admit the Wifi signal could be better, but then I've also had crashes and a bunch of other software problems with the iPad 2/HP TP as well, overall I enjoy the TFP the most so thats the one I use mainly, gave the wift the ipad 2 she loves it cause of its simplicity, they are all great devices, if you don't like one, thats great, if you like one thats great. Buy the one you like and leave it at that. I have no idea why fanboys have the need to bash on a product they don't own/like.

Believe it or not, apps are not the end all be all to people. I also think you have it backwards here. I would think the mobile site would be the designers true vision of the website site and not no app. The pecking order is obviously.
1. Main website. (because computers are still the best browsing instrument)
2. Mobile site. (so mobile devices like your phone and tablet can run the main site better)
3. Apps (would be a distant 3rd because really, they are not that important lol)
