I have a question for you BBQ Gurus. I would like to know if anyone could tell by this one partial pic if this BBQ is a Broil King Regal 420 Pro or just a regular. It has stainless steal cooking grates, stainless steal Flax-R-wave cooking system, 50000 BTU, 4 burner and 500 sq in cooking surface. Is it a $1100 BBQ for $600 or is it a $600 BBQ? I think it is just a $600 BBQ but the stainless steal cooking grates made me question myself.

That's a very good deal. The regal 420 is supposed to include beefy 9mm stainless grates.

So do you think it is a Broil King Regal 420 Pro which is normally $1099?

SKU from my receipt for the LP is - 062703835242

I picked one up at the Newmarket store. There was one left (LP, didn't see any NG) on the shelf.

If you compare the Broil Mate to the Broil King Baron S590 it's nearly identical raw spec wise. The main differences I see are:

-No Rotisserie burner on the Broil Mate
-Broil Mate has stainless steel grids (from what I've read they're 8mm) while the Broil King has cast iron

http://www.broilkingbbq.com/en_ca/grill ... baron_s590
http://www.broilmatebbq.com/grill.php?s ... del=783524#

It's probably safe to assume the Broil King is made from higher end stainless steel but if you practice simple maintenance it should last quite a long time. For less than half the price it was too good to pass up!

So I picked up the Broil King Regal 420 Pro Model number 956214 Black with stainless steal grills. It retails for $1049 as far as I know ($1000-$1100 at different stores or on sale). It was $599.88 at Canex. Canex had save the tax on last week which ended on Wed or Thirs. I went in and the last 3 BBQs had the paper ad save the tax on all BBQ and Lawnmowers Reg price or on sale. I asked if they would honor it and they did. So I got it for $599.88 all in. About a 49.5% savings.

Wanna do us a favor and check the following stainless parts to see if a magnet sticks to it?

Burners
Flavrwaves and dividers
Bottom cook box
Grates
Side shelves

I'm guessing side shelves, burners, flavrwaves/dividers, and bottom cook box will all stick to a magnet because it's 420 stainless steel.

Grates are probably 304 stainless and won't stick.

I'm in the market for a Weber Q2200. Just wondering what the best time of year for deals usually is. I've been underwhelmed by the end of season pricing, unless I've missed it or it hasn't happened yet. I'm thinking maybe Black Friday? I'm in Vancouver so have access to a US delivery address if the price is right.

TIA.
