Anything going on? I'm looking to grab something on sale before winter under $600 range ideally. Have charcoal and smoker, but want a propane for some situations.

Okay I was just at HD. They have the broil mate with ss grids for $497 and they also have Weber 3200 reg 529 but said she'd give me the display model for $300. Which should I go for?

weber 3200 has a weird 2-zone set up, so weird i would say it's just 1 big zone with either more or less heat. So if you're used to cooking with indirect, either get out the tin foil and use youtube solutions, or just cook direct all the time.

Also, you'll notice that the method to stop drippings from getting into the burners on the Q line (both weber and napoleon) is to block it off at the grid level, not using the "flavourizer bars". This is only a so-so solution and your burners will need to be cleaned eventually, sooner than a regular bbq. (unclogging mine is on my to do list.) This is acceptable in a portable bbq, but the q3200 isn't portable at all.

I'd go for the broil mate with ss grids.

Thanks. Maybe I'll see if they can drop some money off the Broil Mate, but didn't seem like she would at the time as it's new vs display model Weber.

Hi all, I've finally narrowed done some BBQs that are within my budget and criteria. My budget (not including tax) is about $600 but I'm willing to bend it. My criteria was:
  • Minimum 3 burners (excluding side burner)
  • Stainless steel grill
  • Around $600

https://www.homedepot.ca/en/home/p.3-bu ... 56777.html

https://www.costco.ca/Dyna-Glo-6-burner ... 49469.html

What do you guys think of these? I know they are not a top quality brand but the reviews seem decent. I've made a shitty 2 burner Broil-Mate last 5+ years without any issues (which my parents use now) so I think the lower quality brands wlll be okay for me.

Any thoughts?

Your "shitty Broil Mate" is actually a better built BBQ than any of the 3 you posted links to.
Nexgrill and Dyna Glo are made in China "all show and no substance" junk.
You are better off buying a Broil Mate or Sterling or Huntington made by Onward Mfg Co than any of the 3 you are considering.

My Broil Mate lasted ten years and still in fantastic condition. I don't have NG hookup so I just bought a new one.
I ended up getting this one.
They gave me another $50 off so it was $450. Just finished putting it together, it's pretty good quality. The ss grids are thick and heavy. Happy with the purchase.

One issue a part of the main piece looked like it was crushed and the black paint came off, kinda the part where the lid sits on. I'm worried about this rusting? Should I do anything with it?

That looks like a nice grill, is it the same as this but with 5 burners?

Not sure the differences. That one has cast iron grates, not sure what else is different. This one I got was in store only so you might have to go take a look. Pictures don't really do it justice, you see it in person it just seems like a nice build.

Call Onward Manufacturing Co and see if they'll replace it under warranty.

Are Broil Mate and Charbroil related in any way? Or is Charbroil all built in China?
Charbroil and Broil King are 2 different companies (the only thing they have in common is the word "broil" as part of their name). Charbroil grills are made in China.
Responding to intense price pressures from overseas manufacturing, W.C. Bradley Co. announced it will transition all Char-Broil grill production from Georgia to China by the end of 2006. The company's Columbus, Ga.-based manufacturing workforce will be affected by the move beginning in mid-2005.
