I price matched my acuvue advance on clearlycontacts with coastalcontacts. I was able to get the price matched but cannot apply any coupon codes.

I pricematched Coastal contact. So I got the 110% guaranteed and the entertainment 25% off too.
Clearly: $19.99
Costal: $13.74
$19.99- $13.74= $6.25 + 10% price difference = $6.875 (110% guranteed)
$19.99- $6.875= $13.115 x 12 (QTY) = $157.38 x 0.25%(entertainment code)
= $39.345
$157.38 - $39.345
= $118.035
Ok, my math is a bit off the second time around but the rep on the phone told me $116.12_______________

Its great to be frugal and save money, but then again, you have to pick your battles.
I used to wear monthly then switched to dailies. Dailies always feel fresh because you aren't wearing some battered and tattered 30 day old contact that has various scratches and/or protein buildup.
Don't cheap out on your eyes.

What for? You're in Canada, have both websites open to quickly compare price, call up Clearly, tell them the price on the Coastal site, they will go on it to confirm, and will give you the 110% price guarantee. Then they'll give you a total, and thats when you tell them the 25% entertainment code, they recalculate, and give you a new total. Just make sure your total comes in over $100 to get the free shipping.
Alot of people were successful in getting the pricematch 110% and 25% discount too
I ended up paying $9.67 per box of Acuvue 2
Do your math ahead of time just to make sure you know what to expect before you call after applying the discountLast edited by T-Man; Jan 10th, 2008 at 12:32 PM.

Is this the reason why so many people are afraid to call in and rather just do online orders?
And no, they nevered asked for prescription, once I got the order confirmation E-mail, it does say at the bottom "we will attempt to verify your prescription" something along those lines. I think its just to cover their ass
Just don't mention prescription and you should be fine._______________

Well I tried getting in on this deal and it definately didn't turn out to be as sweet as most of the hookups I have seen in this thread. I bought 8 boxes of the Acuvue Oasys lenses at the volme discount price of 32.49. I tried getting a pricematch to the .com site but the rep. on the phone stated that there's no point since I'm using the coupon. The rep. said that the pricematch would have to be done after the 25% off coupon. I kept mentioning to her to do the pricematch then apply coupon but she couldn't do it. I ended up paying 194.94 after all was said and done. I was really hoping for a better deal but hey this is still better than most local places here in Toronto.

Sorry to hear, but if you read the fineprint on the clearly site, it says on it:
http://www.clearlycontacts.ca/view-all-products.epLowest Price Guaranteed
We guarantee the lowest price on your contact lenses. When you want fast, friendly service and great prices, we want you to think of Clearly Contacts. If you find a lower price on another website than what you paid on Clearly Contacts within 10 days after your purchase from our site, we will refund you 110% of the difference up to the price of the item on our site."
You should call back tomorrow, speak to another rep and tell them that you got your invoice and noticed that there was an error on it, and just say that the other rep forgot to pricematch. Thats basically what happened to me.
Now just for fun, I'm going to do the math:
Clearly contacts Acuvue Oasys 8 boxes volume discount: $32.49 = $259.92
Coastal contacts Acuvue Oasys 8 boxes volume discount: $24.99 = $199.92
$259.92-$199.92
= $60 x 10% difference = $0.60
$24.99- $0.60 = $24.39 x 8 boxes = $195.12
$195.12 x .25% = $ 48.78
$195.12- $48.78
= $146.34 !!!
Call back tomorrow, and get the other $48.78 back.
