Also, if I let my membership expire for a few months, can I then sign up as a new member with a promo code?
I've never seen any promotions for renewals. You can sign up as a new member at any time. Before expiry, just after expiry or a long time after. Doesn't make a difference.

New Codes I Hope
Here are the new codes.
Signup at costco.ca and use coupon code
GSWEB17E for a Gold Star Membership
EXEC6E for an Executive Membership
You get a $25 gift certificate which means that you end up paying $30 for a 1 year Costco membership.
EnJoy Hope it Works

Will they look at my previous records to see that I once was a member (i.e. not too long ago, or even at present)?
Is everyone typically paying the full membership costco for subsequent years, or is there any way around this to get a discount?

Apply under your spouses name (or anyone else in the household) for a new membership, then the year after, apply under your name.... and on and on....

I tried using EXEC39 and the payment page says $10 gift card for an exec signup.
Let's see if I'll get one.
