Daylight saving time
Globe and Mail Update
March 7, 2009 at 2:14 PM EST
Let there be light – and a little less sleep.
Most Canadians will have to do without an extra hour of shuteye tonight, as daylight saving time comes into effect.
The time change kicks in at 2 a.m. local time, except in Saskatchewan, a province that's on standard time year-round.
Daylight saving time ends Nov. 1.
Set your clocks one hour ahead!

DST is really an outdated idea, the original idea was to advance clocks so that afternoons have more daylight and mornings have less. They should have just KEPT in at that instead of moving the clock back in winter because we LOSE afternoon daylight in winter.
Hence that's why it's always so frigging dark in the afternoon during winter, which is quite depressing when it's dark at 4pm.LOG IN TO THANK No one has yet thanked Sepiraph for this post.
