Does anyone know if the Fido coverage is the same as the Rogers coverage? Are they using the same towers?

I was wondering about this too. How does fido coverage compare to Bell?

Also, when getting a phone like an iphone from Fido, can it be used on the Bell network if I were to switch?

Not worth it....would rather sign up with another carrier like Koodo and not have a contract, plus they have much better service

Fido coverage is the same as Rogers. Phones must become unlocked to work in another carrier and some can be unlocked easier than others. There is also the band that they operate in. Fido and Bell use the same bands I believe but some of the discount companies do not. Research, research, research to avoid disappointment.

Fido's promotional $57 plan is now a dollar cheaper at $56 which includes:

- unlimited worldwide text, picture and video messaging
- unlimited canada-wide calling
- 2GB LTE-ready data
- Call Display with Name Display and WhoCalled
- Visual Voicemail Plus
- 2,500 Call Forwarding minutes

If I'm not mistaken, the old $57 plan only had 1GB of Data. At least thats what I got when I changed mine a month ago, going to call in and have it reduced by $1 and increased by 1gb, thanks!
