This is what I want to do. Can you tell me your set up? I am not a cellphone person.
What I want to do is buy a cheap wifi phone and use Speak Out Data plan of $10/month. My other question is how would I know to which phone number will a receiving a call? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

I set it on my ipod touch.. Can't find my headphones w/ mic yet so I couldn't try to much yet. I did try Voicemail tho, I left a message from my home phone and no 'Voicemail received' showed up on the app. The Voicemail button is not accessible either. Does ithave to be set up first or something?

Samsung Galaxy Gio which you can buy on sale for ~$120. The phone was originally locked to Bhell but I unlocked and rooted it using instructions on RFD threads.
AFAIK no one has gotten their Android phone to work with Dell Voice under SO's $10/month data/browsing plan. DV works just fine over WiFi.What I want to do is buy a cheap wifi phone and use Speak Out Data plan of $10/month.
I don't understand the question. My other question is how would I know to which phone number will a receiving a call?_______________

I don't understand the question.[/QUOTE]
Me bad. I meant if I have a SO phone, how I would know through which number SO or DV I will be receiving my calls. I guess it is a non-issue now if SO route does not work.
I'll just use a wifi phone once I have purchased a cell phone.
Thanks so much for your reply.

Anyone have problems receiving calls? I tried calling out, that works fine. When I try to call the dell voice number, it goes straight to voice mail. I checked the call log on the dellvoice.ca website, it shows a call coming in and the number that called in, not sure why it goes to voice mail. Under disconnect reason, it shows destination out of order. Not sure what it means, but it sure does not sound nice.

Go to the www.dellvoice.ca site and log in. Go to Settings > Voicemail > Number of Times to Ring: Set this to 5.

Unless you need a seperate phone number, I prefer to use either Viber or Skype - both have better sound quality and connection compared to Fongo. 2/5* rating also b/c the app crashes/stalls a lot on Android

If you guys are worried about numbers I recall them having an one time fee where you pay $25 to use your regular # for outgoing and incoming calls as they will redirected through the App as long as there Is Wifi or 3G connection.
I'd say It's a pretty sweet deal If you have a high bandwidth data plan so then you can call and receive freely from your regular #!_______________
