got e-mail today from fongo.com saying they closed my account?? Anybody know what's that about??
I was stilling using it about 10 days ago!

I was in Jamaica last week and was having some difficulties with the Dell Voice app over wifi on my iPhone. The wifi signal was great and very fast, but the app was basically unusable. Half the time it couldn't connect to the server and when it could, it would say 'dialing' (or something like that) for minutes and the call would never complete. I ended up using Sidecar, which worked great, and Google Voice (via talkatone) which also worked ok. Sidecar was better sound quality and can be configured to show my cell number on the recipients call display, so I used that for the most part.
Was very disappointed in DV, but am glad I didn't rely on just having that one app available. Incoming calls to my DV number also were flaky. My phone would start 'ringing' well after the other person had already hung up so by time I answered they were already gone. Glad I had my cell forwarded to my GV number so I at least had reliable and accessible voicemail_______________

Jun 18th, 2012 08:59 PM #1084How long was it before they disconnected the service? I started with them 2 months ago and have already used my Dell Voice number (gave it to many people!). Should I expect them to pull the plug on my account any time soon? What's the point of offering this service if they're going to arbitrarily (it seems) disconnect it like that?? You have to make an outbound call using the app at least once every 90 days or they close the account (maybe 60 days).
