Auto links - Classics Llumar tint film - 4 door car - $200 + taxes

Perhaps, you can negotiate a bit more to get $20 off

i second autolinks.

I went there about two years ago and my tint still looks new. Also, they stand behind their product and install with warranty.

I got my past & current cars done there (ceramic tints - higher quality). Very professionally done. If any issues, John (owner) will fix it until you're happy with the end result. Price is competitive to other tint shops.

If you want to wait, there are group buys (here and other car forums) or you simply try to negotiate another $10 - $20 off and go from there.

I don't mean to sound rude but Autolinks is located in Scarborough, which is a teeeeeeny tiny bit far from Vaughan. You know?
And Lazer Tint quoted me $275, which again, not to be rude, is significantly north of $200.

Any suggestions that actually fit the criteria?

Richmond Hill - Thornhill tint. Excellent shop. But it will cost you around $250 range + taxes

Markham - http://www.ejautotinting.com/ should be around $200 for the tint (all in)

Been tinting with Llumar tint since the mid 80's, good to see they are still one of the top film makers.

I can also vouch for Thornhill Tints. We use them for all of our cars and have had no issues. Ask for Richard and tell him I sent you and they will probably give you a better deal....

EJ uses Llumar. But don't know if they switch brand or not.

Can't say if they are good or not. At least the price meets your budget.

Audio Heaven by far. Includes a lifetime warranty. They know exactly what they are doing and don't make mistakes.

I beg to differ. mediocre job result. Friends' cars went there for tint and had to go back couple of times, that's after insisting they fix it as Jeff kept on saying the imperfections will be gone in a day or two. The people doing the tint knew what they were doing but the job quality suffered when Jeff overbooked appointments and forcing those guys to hurry the jobs.

Ordered a pre-cut tint set from eBay last week and it arrives tomorrow. I paid $23 for the tints and $20 for the shipping, so a total of $43 (all in) for a set I can do myself.

Quality is superb as I was recommended from a friend who I got to see his work. At the end of the day I would have to mess up my tints 6X over before I even break even at a tint shop. Youtube has more than enough videos to help you walk you through it, and the order even comes with the kit so you get a nice squeegee to do the work right.

Will I screw this up 6 times? Probably not. If you got a couple hours to spare and now that summer is here I don't why this shouldn't be fun. And this just comes to show you the profit margin these guys make.

What type of tints are they? Brand name or generic?

I would hate to see tints fade to that nasty purple like so many cheap tint jobs.
