That is a really hot price for a new and unlocked phone.

But why doesnt it have LTE?? Most new phones have it nowadays... Is there a reason why Google omitted it?
Nexus is a world phone, LTE is region specific so makes no sense for a world phone. Probably will be a LTE version for US down the road

no Micro SD again and smaller than a Note, no LTE. but sooo cheap for unlocked pentaband phone.

Hope LG has better quality control than asus.

Wow, this is going to start depressing current model smartphone prices such as the S3.

Maybe it's a pricing error s/b $809 instead of $309?

Very nice... but it's an LG phone. :/

I may still get one. So you can use the $25 Play store credit towards this?

Considering that I don't do alot of crazy stuffs, I will probably go with the 8GB one. But still, this phone is surprisingly cheap!

Holy smokes! I'm tempted to return my s3 which is supposed to arrive today, but no micro sd is a dealbreaker, can't fit all my tunes on 8 gigs!

Maybe google intends to only make this available directly, meaning that there aren't subsidies nor carrier profit margin concerns. $350 for this device that's going to drive billions in ad revenue is about right. NO google phones should cost as much as they do.

Given that the vast majority of iPhone devices are bought at wholesale prices by carriers, and the iPhone is Apple's most profitable product at roughly 100% markup (50% margin) the overpricing of mobile tech is evident, but until someone like Google does something like this and the bottom drops out, consumers think they're paying a "fair price" (regardless of what the consumer may think of the value of the product).
