I just called in five minutes ago as a 2-year regular customer on the old corporate plan. Here's the plan information I was given:

- 1171 plan is no longer available.
- $25 for 100 anytime minutes, free eve/weekends. No call display or voicemail. Evenings start at 8 PM.
- $30 for 100 anytime minutes, free eve/weekends. No call display or voicemail. Evenings start at 6 PM.

Just a heads up to those looking to negotiate. My next call in will also be polite. If it takes a third try, things are going to heat up.

As mentioned a couple of pages ago (on Friday), plan 1171 is no longer available as of today...

The free 6 months of local calling is available - but today is the last day.

I got it a few days ago, but I hear a lot of people got better deals than I.

I spoke with a lady who said if I could provide a number of someone who got half or all off the 35$ charge off, or unlimited 3/6 months or free VM- they'd match it.

Is anyone willing to PM me to help a poor guy out?

My friend called today around 2pm. He still manage to get the following,

$25 per mth.
200mins anytime.
unlimited after 6pm weeknight and unlimited weekend.
Call display include.
1 year contact since he didn't get a phone upgrade.

He did not get the first 3 mths unlimited local calling.

As for myself,
I called on Friday to get the deal and they wavied the Shipping charge on the phone for me and include the first 3 mth unlimited local calling. I guess since my orignal plan was experied 2-3 mths ago.

ok i called at 1, and the guy said the plan is available till nov 30th, but on a 2yr renewal, then i called back at 145, and a guy was a complete jerk "tel number? postal code? name? what do u want?" ... "no there is no such thing ever that would include caller id..." what an ass...I was totally nice too.

I was told by Rogers representative that not every account qualified for this
offer (criteria is not known) .She was actually surprised when I mentioned
"retention plan".I think you gotta be persistent.

Damit, I forgot to ask the CR to lower or waiv the shipping charge and the 3 month unlimited local calling.

Here is what I got for $25/month:

200 minuntes for weekday
6PM evenings/weekends
Free caller ID
1 Year Contract
$25 refurbished v300
$30 admin fee

This is still cheaper then my privious plan, so it's still good.

the guy told me that with taxes and all.. the total would be $31.xx

which isnt bad because my corporate plan before was getting around 37.xx total

also if u guys start asking about "rogers better deal bundles".. u will get discounts off of your bills if u have 2 or more products with rogers

personally i have rog cable, internet, and now wireless.. so i will be getting 15% off all of them.. which is pretty much no tax.. but its better than nothing..

**also one more thing.. the reason why i took the two year plan is because caller id will stay free for me for 2 years at least.. when the contract expires.. you will have the same plan BUT you will have to start paying for caller ID which is 5 bucks alone.. that is what my rep told me.. i dont think he was bs'ing either..

the bundles thing is ok...however u need to sign a two year contract min. that's the catch....that means...cable, internet and cell phone all on a 2 year contract. early cancellation charges apply. As well if ur already a vip member u get the 10% (which u already have) + the 15% rogers bundles therefore 25% off ur bill..

other thing, u don't have to have 2 things to get it....if u have cable and the cellular phone u can already get the deals..
