Yup stopped by my local Future Shop around 11am and walked out with my 32gb white about half hour later. Just waiting on it to activate still lol
yeah I changed my sim online a couple hours ago but I still don't have service on my iPhone 5 due to rogers system issues.

Anyone know if Fairview Mall is selling Unlocked iphones? I'm on hold right now - not sure if someone already has that answer. Just seeing if there's a small chance to get it earlier than my online pre-order (ETA Delivery Oct 9)....

I just spoke to the rogers tech guy who told me "1 of 11 components have been acitvated on my phone" whatever that means. He said to keep toggling airplane mode every half hour or so.

Any confirmations that you can buy and unlocked phone? I called two stores this week and they said no. So this seems very odd.

To cash in...lot of people are trying to flip the phones for profit and the loyal apple following. If this continues, we need a global holiday!
Walked past a 7-8 person lineup outside the Eaton Centre Fido Store at lunch.

I just casually asked the people in line "so is everyone a scalper or something?" - and one guy turned to me and you could see the largest lump form in his throat.

For the record - Some apple stores ARE selling unlocked versions.

Called Apple Store at Eaton Centre. They are selling unlocked versions.
Don't lie...
I went by Eaton... asked the guy... told me to get unlock online...b/c they don't sell any...

To other countries...iPhone sells for 3700 in Moscow...ABC News

Lot of other news posts stating people getting the iphones and going straight to ebay.

I don't disagree that there is enough supply just a lot of people thinking they can profit from this frenzy.

Frankly, I rather buy Apple iStock.
That doesn't make sense because isn't Apple only selling carrier locked versions today? Would it work in other countries?

Yeah, I'm talking about Canadians lining up to flip it. Doesn't make any sense at all.

My friend and I went into the Bestbuy in the next plaza where the costco is, we both got our phones in under half an hour. They have no 64GB left though. We walked by the Apple store after and there was no line up, not sure if they sold out or everyone who lined up earlier got there's.

It really make no sense why people are willing to waste their time at the Apple store when all the carrier stores have ample stock and are generally not very busy.
