Nope. The i727 (Skyrocket) has LTE but no HSDPA 1700 band. The T989 (Hercules) has the 1700 band, but no LTE.

The phones are identical except for their chipsets; the APQ8060 (Pentaband) and the MSM8260 (LTE capable) in the Herc and Sky respectively.

This is something that I really hate Samsung, the vanilla android comes with multi-lanugauage support, now I almost have to buy an expensive iphone for parents just because of that

and thanks for letting me know. i would think twice in the future if i want to consider a samsung model. 60 bucks gio is fine, anything over 100 with such a limited choice is nonsense.

I searched for the locale app, from reading the review, once you restart the phone, you need to reset the language again, that won't be very useful if it is the case.

One of the problem is that they make too many models and versions which are sold in different regions so it seems the T989D was only meant for Canada so why put a bunch of languages. Samsung models are very confusing to figure out. Nevertheless, I still like this phone although not very impressed with the audio quality for listening to music.

USA and Canada are both immigrant countries so it make sense to include all the languages, than anywhere else.

I just checked the Koodoo Kiosk. They are no longer giving out the $100 gift card.

That's what OP said last week. Did you try at other retailers like the ones inside RCSS? When I went to pick up my phone yesterday they still had the stickers on all the phones.

The gift card that you get from Koodo, can it be used to pay off the tab? That $150 you owe when you cancel? Or FS/BB/RCSS?

When you cancel the line, Koodo will send you a final bill. Not sure if you can use a prepaid Visa to pay the bill though. Maybe if you can still sign into your Koodo account online. It's easier if you find a retailer that will let you pay off the upfront portion with the GC. Just ported out to Speakout today as I wanted to keep the Koodo number, but they are saying 3 days to port in wtf... oh well.

ouch, so they ended up charging you the whole $20 for the month? as an RFDer I guess you can still file a complaint to try and get a portion of your $20 back but maybe that's pushing it after getting $100 GC and not staying...

Did they tell you you would be charged that much? When i cancelled they said they'd only charge me for the 1 day i was with them.
