Had been $49.99 couple of times at London Drugs this year. Last time was around May. I know because my brother bought the PVR.

Yes..

If you have more than one Telus PVR box on your account, only one will act as a PVR.
All other PVR boxes will be dummy downed to regular boxes.

They shouldn't both be $99.

For whatever reason, recently a lot of time they have been on sale for the same price. I.e. FS they were both $80 at one point too. Guess the point of the sale was really for the PVR but if the PVR is cheaper than regular no one will buy the regular. If you already have the PVR, the PVR is the same as the regular so it doesn't matter which you buy in that case.

Great sales on both the PVR and HD box are $99 each, great deal compared to TELUS ($249 for the PVR and $149 for the HD Box) and Costco ($239 for the PVR and $139 for the HD Box)
