I dislike that Telus won't just add the box to your account. I've called twice and they insist that a tech needs to visit the house. No charge but the appointment is 2 weeks away!

WOOOHOOO!!!! Thanks for the London Drugs post. Just noticed on my latest bill they had started charging me $15.00/month to rent a PVR. They snuck that through the negotiations. Was just about to buy the thing for $250. Glad I always check RFD first. Pretty shocked at how cheap these are on sale compared to regular price. Cheaper than resale value.

I am using Bell but considering to switch to Optik. I know the Optik PVR recorded programs can be used by a few receiver. But can it have more than one PVR in the same house and the programs recorded in these PVRs be shared by others?
For those who has used Bell satellite TV, how's the Optik compare with Bell in terms of picture quality and programs?

Tech that came to install mine said Telus is introducing a new remote soon and this was probably reason for old stock getting cleared out. No changes to the actual 500GB PVR or the terminal though.
