It is for in-store. They just don't want people coming in exchanging because they are going to be really busy. You will be able to return anything you buy on any other day.

If its gonna be very busy, then they must have a good sale. Otherwise they can do all their return that day with no excuse.

No it does not have to be, the avg consumer is not as deal hungry/savvy as those on RFD. These stores on special days are busy regardless of bad sales.
