The selections seem to be all the movies that have aired on TV. I was excited but very disappointed.
Do they think we're slow in Canada and we would the selection was new?_______________

Are you guys comparing netflix US streaming service to canadian streaming service? Because US streaming also has limited content relative to its mailing service.

God the canadian service sucks. It has like maybe 100-200 titles at best.. Nothing is available.

I'd be completely interested in this if the selection was at all good. I searched for 'firefly' and was told neither the TV show nor the movie serenity is available. Instead I got suggestions of a bunch of recent B movies and some older (5+ years) but better movies.
call me when it gets better.

I will try this out on my ps3.
Wonder how much bandwith/episode/film this service takes.
I have a 60gb DL/UL limit with my ISP (videotron)_______________

If Netflix streaming is coming to Xbox Live, then will there be some title duplication between the two services on the same box? Seems like unless the titles are different, they are competing with one another. Currently Xbox Live has a pretty good selection of recent and popular titles.

Hmmph. Huge dissapointment. I was looking forward to this, but I was really hoping it would have the same streaming selection as the US. I wonder why Canada always get's screwed on IP video services... is it the CRTC restrictions?

From the Help page:
Watching for 1 hour will use approximately 1GB of bandwidth and approximately 2GB an hour if you are watching HD. You have the option to set your account to "no HD" if you'd prefer.
Wonder if the catalog we see now before signing up what is actually available? Or would there be more after you sign up? So tempted...

No Dexter, which is on the US one. No The Office. I searched for an older movie "Desperado" which the US has as well, no luck.
I haven't yet been able to think of something I want to watch and find it.
