Loved the first generation Asus Nexus 7 (wifi). Mine is being repaired and rumors of the next Nexus 7 successor to be released in May is the only thing stopping me from running out and grabbing a Nexus 7 3G right now.

Google seems to go on 1-year refresh cycles. Nexus phones - fall, Nexus 10 - released in fall 2012. Would Google break the cycle and put out the Nexus 10 successor in May (8 months)? What about moving the Nexus 7 successor to fall to sync up with Nexus phones+Nexus 10?

I was so firm to be waiting for the 32GB, but at the moment when "Add to cart" shows up with 16GB, I gave up.

Bought the 16GB, now I'm telling myself I've saved $113 so I'm happy...

Isn't quad core coming in Feb/May for the Nexus 10? I'd pull the trigger if it wasn't coming, I know something new is always coming, but it's pretty close.

For me it was well worth it. The day it arrived I put Need for Speed, Batman, Asphalt 7, The Amazing Spiderman, Grand Theft Auto III, and several other games on that take up close to or over 16GB. I would hate to have to switch out games all the time based on what I want to play. I also then have room to load up with HD movies at 3.5GB each when taking the train or flying.

A good option for many, but I personally prefer an all-in-one solution. I'd rather not carry around two extra pieces, so the money was worth it to me.

i agree.. if you are going to load it up with the heavy hitter games 16 gig isn't enough.. heck 32 isn't enough.

if you are using at home with access to streaming etc the 16 gig is manageable

lol, only for bragging rights. Nothing in the world uses octos properly, few programs use quads well, and this is on x86 computers.
On tablets, nothing is coded to use 8 cores, maybe 2 apps for quads. Duals is enough, just gimme a good GPU!

Battery plus it's for my mother, who doesn't own a smart phone but it would be really useful if I could share my data with her so she can surf, watch videos and all that with the tablet on the go.
