Very hot. Card ejected from camera is so hot sometimes so it hurts holding it (though it cools down quickly).toram23901 wrote: ↑I have a question for you guys. How hot does your camera run?
I have noticed over the past week of driving that the camera gets hot to the touch (I haven't taken an exact temperature) after driving for about 30 minutes. This happens at night too (after the sun is down) so I can't just blame the sun beating down on the unit.
Is this normal, or should I looking into some warranty claim?
Just checking out what is normal operations for you guys. Thanks.

How long is the freeze? Are you playing it using the BlackVue provided software? If by briefly you mean a second or less then I think it's normal. I've had that happen to me.Wanango wrote: ↑Hi all...first post here...
I just got my Blackvue. I ebay'd it and it came updated with 1.39. On a quick intitial test, the footage would freeze very briefly between each clip. I removed the card, did a full format of tha card, then loaded 1.40 onto it. The footage is still freezing between each clip...any suggns?
Tks
It's normal for the cam to run hot. My drive to work is about 45 minutes and when I remove the microSD card, it's pretty hot. Cam is also hot. Some believe the heat is from the GPS unit. Others say its a general hardware issue.toram23901 wrote: ↑I have a question for you guys. How hot does your camera run?

Thanks Blue...the pause is very brief - less than a second. Yes this is played in the Blackvue player. I imported the clips into a regular video editing suite, and the video is seamless between the clips in that software, but there is still a noticeable gap inthe audio.BluePhirePB wrote: ↑How long is the freeze? If you have BV plugged into cig lighter, and cig lighter is ignition powered, then I would suggest that you dont turn on then off your car (or off then on) too quickly. The BV should totally startup (wait for GPS led) before shutting down, and totally shutdown (wait for all leds to turn off) before startup again.

You did. BV firmware is 1.40, viewing program is 1.38. Both are latest at the moment.ts20no wrote: ↑I upgraded from 1.037K to 1.038E, then to 1.040E.
Now the i-window shows this values, and I just wonder if I have rally upgraded the SW??
