The asterisk is fine as it's from the special collections of CG.
That's odd as the hologram is usually sewn in line with the other tags. Either it was a sloppy mistake or it's a new type of counterfeit coming out from China. Is this a Manitoba jacket?Misplaced hologram tag??_______________

There seems to be an issue with the all-black Arctic Program discs (and all the other single-coloured varieties I have seen) where the ® symbol is essentially indiscernible. Specifically for the all-black one, there are two sizes, large and small just like the regular red/white/blue disc. The small one is on the Yukon (and a few other "limited edition" pieces and the Spring 2012 Collection) while the large one is on pieces such as the Manitoba as depicted below.

The fortunate thing about any Canada Goose product with an all-black disc is that no RFDer has ever spotted a counterfeit version. The counterfeiters seem to be focused on replicating articles that have the regular red/white/blue disc instead. The special reassurance for hunters is that you are practically guaranteed authenticity (as far as we have seen) if you have your heart set on a particular piece of clothing with the all-black disc.
When a seller is saying something to the effect of "limited edition Yukon bomber", it's not necessarily wrong but it's also not 100% precise. The Yukon in itself belongs to the Men's Special Collection which features all-black discs so it's sort of "limited" in that way in that it's distinct from the popular Chilliwack, but it is a regularly-produced article in the Special Collection, unlike the OVO/Drake pieces which have changed two years in a row and would be considered "limited edition" within the Special Collection.
Cutting to the chase, the Yukon you shared is authentic. The holographic label is stitched in strange places on various jackets, for unknown reasons. I vividly recall noticing this when visiting the stores during the 2011-2012 season, but for the life of me I cannot remember which specific models had this weird deviation._______________

that "weirdly" stitched hologram is 100% legitimate.
I have a friend from school who purchased a small chilliwack bomber from harry rosen when they restocked this winter, it has the hologram up there

I have tried to freeze it down to see if the fur would "freeze", i looks okay! - it has i distinkt smell, cant really say what it is? its not plastic thats for sure
I have also tried to poor water on the back and sleeves, it didnt absorb any so that looks okay to..
I have read ALOT about the chilliwack jacket, all seems to be okay but i do want to be sure, i have tried to put it up against a fake exp CG and this CG CW seems to be alot better...
The seller got it as a gift and didnt had receipt, so thats why im asking in here and hope you can help!
On the picture whit washing instrucktion i forgot the hologram, it sits a bit longer up in the jacket, so there is 4 labels in total like Lanbo´s picture

Welcome to the forum! Your Chilliwack is a-ok. The holographic label indicates that your article was from the 2011-2012 season, which is the year Canada Goose started using this new security feature. For now, because the feature is so new, it is extremely safe to confidently generalize that any article that has the hologram is authentic. It will likely take counterfeiters some time (and money, since holograms are an expensive feature apparently) before they can begin to imagine attempting to copy something as complex as a hologram. In the meantime, we have seen time and time again that they can't even get the SIMPLE things copied right, such as stitching the various fonts consistently, placement of the other labels in their proper positions (seriously, how friggin' difficult can this be?), and other really easy things you'd think any idiot can copy easily.
Here's what I predict for an upcoming season (not necessarily the pending 2012-2013 season). The counterfeiters are aware that the hologram exists and will attempt to copy it because people assume that the presence of a hologram represents authenticity. So, we'll likely have a swath of new counterfeit jackets flooding the market that have a hologram on them. But if you look closely at the SIMPLE identifiers, you'll probably still notice sloppy stitching on the fonts, incorrect label placements, wrong fur, and various other dead giveaways. The hologram will also likely not be an exact reproduction, but it will still be quicker to spot a fake because counterfeiters have NEVER nailed all the easy things they should have._______________
