but we got use to having front plates, it looks ugly imo if we get rid of it.

ok.. imo.. a lot of EU cars need front lic plate.
but if you are talking about USDM... screw the front lic plate..
i guess they don't have to take it out.. but just don't make it mandatory!

I dont' see the point of this petition. You can legally drive a car without the front license plate anyways.

bobbings, if you still want to have a front license plate, you could easily purchase and mount one of those novelty plates that say your name, the type of car, or whatever other info. you desire.

Really? In Ontario (which is the petition is all about), "The number plates for a motor vehicle, other than a motorcycle or a motor assisted bicycle, shall be attached to and exposed in a conspicuous position on the front and rear of the motor vehicle". Vehicle Permits Regulations, R.R.O. 1990, Reg. 628, subsection 9(3).

In Ontario, you are legally required to have a front plate. I know because I was given a ticket for not having it on.
The front plate is a total waste. On top of being ugly, it usually damages the front bumper.

You got a source for this? As the HTA states that your issued plate must be displayed on the front of the vehicle.

I find cars look a lot nicer without the front license plate. So im all up for this.
