A story about a guy who keeps reliving 25 years of life (college till middle age). Each replay, he has to decide how he will live his life. Does he drop out of school? Will he use his foreknowledge to make himself rich? Will he marry the same woman? Will he travel the world? Is the only person replaying their life? Should he look for others? Reviews.
A half Japanese, half American, former war hero now turned assassin uncovers a plot that will shake Japan's political system. People are hunting him, but who? The story takes place in modern day Tokyo. Think Jason Bourne. Reviews.

FEARLESS
I just finished this book yesterday and have to say that it's one of the most inspiring books I have ever read. It's a biography about Seal Team 6 operator Adam Brown (KIA).
This guy was a good teenager who made some terrible choices in life. Became a drug addict - a totally degenerate crack junkie. Betrayed and let down his family and friends. Ended up in jail.
Then, at rock bottom, he managed to turn his life around. He not only got into the Navy but he became a Navy SEAL. Not only a "regular" SEAL but eventually a member of SEAL Team 6, the elite of the elite (his team mates would eventually take down bin Laden). He did many good deeds like buying hundreds of shoes for Afgan kids (they wear sandals in winter) in the war zone while stationed there. He lost an eye in one incident and got his fingers severed and re-attached in another. He could have honourably gotten out anytime on medical retirement but chose to stay. Killed in action protecting his team in Afganistan.
Forget the politics or the military slant if you have to. The point of the book is about strength of character, loyalty, and about the man himself. This is the first time in my life I teared up when reading a book. Makes me ashamed to complain about the relatively minor problems I have in my own life.
Highly recommended!Last edited by DiceMan; Aug 23rd, 2012 at 02:29 PM.

Escape from Camp 14. Another very good biography I recently read. It's about the life of an escapee of one of North Korea's worst political prisons and the shocking human rights violations in them. Nazi concentration camps lasted a couple of years. The USSR gulags lasted several years more. These North Korean slave camps have been there for decades. Definately worth a read.

Great book. Surprised I actually read an 800+ page book, but the font isn't miniscule and you'll want to see how the story progresses.

Besides this thread LOL
What books are on your e-reader or nightstand? What do you want to get to? I just finished reading the Hunger Games and I'm also reading some nutrition related books (Nourishing Traditions, Deep Nutrition) I'm curious to see what others are reading!_______________

The Stepehen King book mentioned 11/22/63, although I was a bit dismayed at the ending, this is still a book that keeps you interested.
