The driver of the white Accord could see the light turn yellow and then red - there's a light over each of the lanes. The driver of the yellow Toyota initially hit the brakes but when the truck driver accelerated when the light turned yellow, the Toyota followed suit. The yellow Toyota's rear wheels hadn't entered the intersection when the light turned red - a red light camera wouldn't have been triggered but a cop would have had the right to pull over any of the three of them.

The rule is that yellow means stop unless you can't do it safely. All of us could have stopped safely but three chose to gun it. I caught up to all of them roughly five minutes later.
