Let's get this right... cheap price and cheap glasses... RedFlagDeals... hmm?!?
Something to note is, if you ever have a high index prescription, Goggles4U is a dirt cheap bargain that you can't pass up. With their 15% repeat customer discount and now offering 1.67 plastic or 1.71 glass (at additional cost) it kicks optical4less and 39 dollar glasses butts. At lower index the prices might be competitive, but for high index the other two retailers just can't compare to Goggles4U.

[/IMG]QUOTE=lfg;4853650]I just ordered the hingeless HL007 Gun Metal frames with the 1.67 high index plastic lenses
I have got a pretty strong prescription od -8.00 and os -6.75x -1.25 x 140 and I have never been able to try a rimless design because it would have been too expensive an experiment at a normal optical store.
But not today, $91 usd at optical4less. At that price, even if they are too thick, at least I'll have a nice lite pair for home use.
I'll let you guys know when I get them. Does anyone else have a rimless frame with a high prescription?
Ok I got them, in just two weeks. Overall impression is very positive. They look well made, no flaws noted.
My wife , who is very skeptical of these on-line deals(Her motto is you "get what you pay for") was very surprised, she purchased a set of semi rimless with progressive lens for $496 in january.
I am wearing them right now, the prescription seems bang on, I am experiencing some eye fatigue with them, but I have always experienced that when I have purchased new glasses.
Now the icing on the cake will be if the health plan will cover these glasses.
The polished edges are a nice touch, but they do throw of some reflections on your face. I wonder if anyone has asked optical4less to leave them matte/frosted on the edges?

err dude, why are you replying to something that's totally unrelated to goggles4u or my post? hahah
but yeah my experience with goggles4u has been unpleasant and I bought quite a few pairs just to see if they'd get it right.. unfortunately after 5 glasses and around $150 wasted, I give up.
I didn't expect all 5 to be perfect but I thought I'd be able to wear at least one...well no.
If I wanted quality, I'd go see my local stores..

If you're replying to me, please properly quote. I think my post was relevant to the entire topic in general and something that person said in the text I quoted, this isn't your own personal thread. $150 wasted, 5 pairs? You should've quit at your first pair if you didn't get customer satisfaction. From some of the earlier posts, goggles4u seems to offer people 2 pairs for the mistake/damaged pair if you ask them nicely. If that didn't work then why bother ordering more?
The last pair of glasses I purchased before my goggles4u pair cost $300 at Lenscrafters, 5 years ago. That's about the lowest price for high index glasses currently. You could probably find cheaper, but then you'd actually have to hunt. This is what you get when you purchase locally and the reason for this thread about online prescription glasses.

Is it just me or are people utterly confused here? lol I, as you can see, quoted 'bube' and I'm not sure where I said this thread was mine.
As for the 5 pairs.. call it 'benefit of the doubt' as explained I thought for $150(which already is a bargain, considering my last 'real' pair costed me $600) at least one of them would be good enough to be a replacement. The one that's more of less close to the prescription is being used as a back up pair or something I wear around the house because it's good enough.
I think I'll donate the other frames, I know there's a website where they send these glasses to 3rd world countries so at least it can be used for something positive.
And yup I agree that I get what I pay for, but one can always 'hope' (especially after my friend told me about the deals and this forum. He got a pair for $30 and is a happy camper)

Well after 5 pairs of glasses, I would actually think it is the user who inputted the information wrong somehow not the company who makes them. Double check your prescription or goto a optical store and make sure its correct (PD etc). I bought a pair from them and the prescription was bang on.

My recent email to Zenni:
Not pleased.I have inquired about this order on several occasions, with no results. Phoning your 1-800 and pressing 2 for customer service causes the main message to be repeated, rather than connecting to customer service. I cannot get a live human on your sales or billing extensions either. I have received one email in response to my questions, but it didn't actually answer them. I have received no calls in return to my messages.
I know my email address was correct when I ordered the glasses, as I received the automated response from your system. However, I have not received a tracking number from USPS, and when I asked via email and phone for this tracking number, I received no response. My order was supposed to be delivered within 2 weeks, but it has taken over 5. It's entirely possible that it's not your fault, that the problem lies with USPS or customs but I DON'T KNOW because you haven't forwarded any information to me.
In the absence of a signature of receipt from USPS, my CC company is willing to file a chargeback, and you can fight with them over my $40. However, it should be a simple matter for you to resolve this issue by sending me the tracking number for my glasses._______________

Deep: Well written!
If all else fails, at least report them to the BBB. I've done it with GOGGLES4U, and it's worked!
Keep us posted!

Goggles4U quickly and efficiently responded to all my enquiries before and after I ordered my glasses. They went as far as offering me a discount to buy from them. Very impressed!
Ordered 2 pairs.
Package received: Both pairs had a problem. 1st pair had a broken lens, and the other had inaccurate prescription.
Advised Customer / Sales Support
They immediately offered a replacement for 1 pair (pick two frames and we'll send you one)
When I reasonably asked about the 2nd issue, they stopped responding.
Multiple requests followed... NO response!
I advised I'm ready to take action... NO response.
I involved the Southern Florida Better Business Bureau.
They contacted Goggles4u and they responded!!
They claim they did follow-up, however, my email addy kept bouncing their response.
Strangely, the minute the BBB contacted them, my email started to work as they've informed they will replace BOTH pairs immediately.
