Hello everyone,
I have been a customer of googles4u in the past and was needing a set of eyeglasses. I checked the forums and saw that Goggles and Zenni appeared to be good choices.
I placed an order with both companies on March 27th.
I ordered from Goggles a semi rimless and from Zenni a rimless with magnetic clip on pair.
I received my order from Goggles today the 16th or April and it is perfect. Came with a case and a cloth but no screw driver or nose pads like the first time I ordered from them. Also when I ordered I told them that I was offered a 25% off for life discount for any future orders, which they honored.
I am still waiting for Zenni, checked today and appears to have arrived at customs in Ontario on the 13th, so may arrive tomorrow. I will let you know what arrives and if they are comparable.
Pricing was better with Goggles but not by much. Goggles was $28.27 and Zenni was $33.90.
Any questions fire me a msg.
Cheers!
EDIT: Just messaged goggle about no nose pads or adjustment tool and they are sending one right away.....great service from goggles

eyebuydirect.com shipping charges
FYI,
eyebuydirect.com has recently changed shippers. They used to ship with USPS. Now they are shipping with "Canada Post Priority". I was dinged with a "$11.57" C.O.D. charge for a $13 pair of glasses, for which I already paid $9.95 shipping. I called eyebuydirect and they stated the shipping charge you pay is only to get the glasses into Canada. "Canada Post Priority" will then charge C.O.D for whatever the shipping is to your home address. In my case, it was from Mississauga to Mississauga, $11.75.
I called eyebuydirect and they will refund me this charge to my paypal "this time only". I tried to explain that having a surprise/unknown C.O.D. "shipping" charge will not work out too well for them in the future.

I recently ordered from zenni optical and received my order in about 3 weeks... Sad thing is there more stylish and comfortable than my old $300 pair xD $20 for a pair of glasses im willing to wait a couple more weeks for $280 less... I was going to order from clearly contacts but didn't really like any frames on there website.
I ordered 3/20/12 and couldn't be happier.
