I already have a standard digital box but will be seeing if i can swap the free box offer for a free modem rental for a year.

That's a lie. Last year I was able to get 30% off cable plus both a HDPVR and HD terminal for free. This year, I negotiated a 25% off cable plus a HDPVR & a HD terminal for free.

I just renewed my rogers cable tv for another year,

I got:

-15% off all services

I only have tv with rogers, so I`m happy with that deal. It would turn out to be close to 38% off of their over inflated prices.
I think you could get 20% off their services, instead of 15%, if you tried and didn`t want the standard box, but I needed that 3rd box in there.
