[Merged] Rogers My5 - Cell plan
See - http://www.shoprogers.com/store/wire.../voice/my5.asp
MY5 will be offered in 2 forms:
included in a megatime priceplan
OR
an ADD-ON for $10/Mth
www.rogers.com/my5
(after May 8th)
This is the best thing in rate plans I have seen in a long time!
For $10 per month pick 5 numbers (any network) to get unlimited calling to and from.
If you are devious, you can set up a VoIP system at home where you call in and then get a dialtone out so you can dial to anyone and to Rogers it would just look like you are making a lot of calls to one number.

I have rogers home phone. Also in addtion to what you suggested, what if i call forward that to my cell, and have people call my home phone. Does that mean my cell is getting call only from home #?

Finally, Canadian Providers doing something they SHOULD'VE been doing for a long time.
Introduce Americain concepts.
Next to come.
'IN'
'ROLLOVER'

FYI., it's not a CELLPLAN...so adjust your thread title. It's a WIRELESS ESSENTIAL....or other.
isn't it

I currently have a Corporate plan which is pretty good. If I don't go over my minutes I only pay $22.xx taxes in.
Unfortunately I always tend to go over my daytime minutes (200). Rogers won't let me add it since my plan is corporate.
Has anyone been successful adding it to a corporate plan?

Bell has a promo on a number of plans
- Unlimited local calls to one Bell residential phone number of your choice
But it is only TO that number and not from that number also - I find that kind of weird.
I have not done this myself so I don't know much about it but this is something people might be interested in

Asterisk
Asterisk is an open source private branch exchange (PBX) — or private telephone network — that currently runs on Linux, OS X, and Cygwin/Windows. The possibilities with Asterisk are virtually limitless. It supports VoIP in all three flavors: SIP, h323, and IAX. Asterisk also supports a wide range of hardware that allows you to terminate your Asterisk PBX from a POTS line to a T1.
