This is a s**ti deal for Ontario compared to rest of Canada few two weekend back. Ontario is short changed. Should stop filling at Shell now. Enough. You spend $30 for 25 AM. That is not better than spending $50 for 50 AM.

So you have to make a purchase of $10 in store?

Yes. You can get a gift card if you don't want to buy anything else in the store, but most gift cards cost at least $20.

Better if you are fueling up with Bronze or Silver, which majority of people are.

When I had a car that only needed 87, I filled anywhere that was convenient. But now since my car requires 91, I only fill up with V-Power (no ethanol).

been waiting all month for Ontario's airmiles bonus weekend that we missed out on, but seems like it wont be happening. looks like a nationwide promo this coming weekend... i wonder if it means no regular 25/50 bonus the weekend after that.

seems like a better deal than the reg/VPower 25/50 for $50 total bonus weekends for regular gas, and slightly worse deal for VPower.

personally, lower spending reqs is good, but i dont know if there are actually $10 cineplex GCs at the Shell....

Can I use my credit card to buy a $10 Shell gift card as the $10 in-store purchase to qualify for the 25 bonus miles?

I bet they still make money on gift cards, buying them at a discount. Why would anybody buy gift cards at Shell, except during these promos?

Highway 7 and Woodbine Shell now carries Shell GCs (not the Shell MC GCs, actual Shell GCs) in denominations of $25, $50, $100

thats what i thought too, but i went to check if there were $10 cineplex GCs (i normally get $25 when the min spend is $50) and saw them on the GC rack with the others

i bought a $25 one to try it out, and it appears to be fee free (no indication on card or back of card, and when i went online to check the balance at Shell website, it said $25). they appear to be new, the staff that was there had to call the manager/owner to figure out how to process the sale. there was a 25 cent charge when they activated the card, but apparently it was paid for by Shell

seems like it.

its a big improvement over the previous AMs promos for regular gas customers. instead of $50 spend for 25 AMs, its only $30 now for 25 AMs. for V Power customers, its slightly worse. instead of $50 for 50 AMs, its now $60 for 50 AMs.

the question is, will GCs count as the $10 in store as well for this promo.

well the whole point is, you're buying gas anyways because 99% of people need gas. So you're getting 25 Air Miles for spending an EXTRA $10 that you wouldn't usually spend.

I don't mind spending the extra $10,cos it's a $10 gas GC .

Which $10 GC would you buy? I can't find anything good for 10, end up buying 25.
